Happy Mother's Day! (in the USA, lol) I hope you all had a good week! Today, I have Second Go-Round for you from the always awesome Lynn Burke. This is the second book in her Elite Escorts series. Christine Gemberling doesn’t enjoy breaking hearts, but she has yet to find a man who knows how to handle the package between his legs well enough to satisfy her needs. No man has held her interest beyond a second date—much less her love. Until one sultry night with an Elite Escort rocks her world like never before.
Professional escort Jarod Zimmerman has a strict code when working with clients—no emotional attachments. But the beer-drinking, football loving Christine and her curves push beyond his control, until the guarded playboy finds himself craving another go-round with the only woman intriguing enough to make him break his own code. With her defenses stronger than his favorite football team, it will take more than Jarod’s talents in bed to change her stance on relationships. He’ll have to sacrifice his heart when the unexpected circumstance thrown their way threatens to rip them apart forever. *Warning: Exhibition, spanking, anal sex, sex toys Excerpt: Jarod lowered onto the limo seat beside me and pressed close, his large hand grasping the top of my thigh. “Where to?” Ricky asked as he settled behind the wheel a moment later. I spouted off my address quite a ways up Route 1, and with a nod, he shut the window between us, encasing Jarod and I in complete privacy. Soft music came to life, and seconds later, the limo pulled out into Boston’s nighttime traffic. “For the first go-round, I’m going to fuck you against the front door of your house, but right now,” Jarod said, lowering to his knees in front of me, “I’m going to bury my nose between these thighs and lick your cunt until you squirm.” “I like the way you think,” I said, my voice breathless, betraying my body’s need. His hands slid up my thighs, pushing my skirt into a bunch. I wiggled, assisting in his plan, and he yanked me to the seat’s edge. “Comfy?” he asked, trailing a fingertip against the soaked silk covering me. “Comfy enough.” Jarod hooked his fingers under the sides of my panties and pulled them down my legs, releasing my heeled feet one at a time. He tossed the panties aside, and grasping my knees, spread me wide. “Bare.” He stared at the smooth skin between my thighs as he moved close. “I like that.” Palming my ass, he lifted me and buried his face in my pussy as promised, my moan and his groan colliding in the air between us. My eyelids fluttered shut and head tipped back as he ate me out like a starving man. Tongue, nose, and teeth, he didn’t pussyfoot around, but tortured me with his need to taste every inch, fuck me deep with his long tongue, nibble my swollen lips … flick and suck my throbbing clit. My fingers found purchase in his hair, and I ground myself against his face, chasing my orgasm. Bastard let off and dipped low to lick my ass and tongue me every time I neared the crest. I tried to force his head back up to my clit, but he held steady, denying me what I wanted. “Goddamn it, Jarod!” I yanked on his hair as my clit popped from his mouth’s suction again and he roamed southward to my ass. He snickered and caught my gaze as his tongue rimmed my puckered hole. My hold tightened on his hair, my heart thundered in my chest. “Please. I need to come.” Finally—finally—he pressed two fingers deep into my sopping wet core. “Is this what you need, Christine? My fingers fucking your cunt and my mouth on your clit?” “Oh, fuck.” My head tipped back again as he latched onto my clit. “Don’t stop. Please … Christ, don’t stop!” You’d think I hadn’t climaxed in months the way my orgasm ripped through me. Jarod’s fingers and tongue drew out every clench of my pussy, every shudder rippling down through me as I gasped for breath. He lapped up every trace of my cum and sucked his fingers clean, the noises in his throat barely reaching through the ringing in my ears. I sagged into the leather seat, sucking wind. “Holy shit. It’s no wonder you get paid to please a woman.” Purchase Links: Evernight Publishing: http://www.evernightpublishing.com/second-go-round-by-lynn-burke/ Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077ZMFSD8 Amazon UK: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B077ZMFSD8 Smashwords: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/765647 About Lynn Burke: Lynn Burke is a full time mother, voracious gardener, and scribbler of spicy romance stories. Happy Sunday all! Today, I'm sharing with you Woman as a Foreign Language by Katherine Wyvern. Katherine's next book is releasing tomorrow(!!) and is a follow-up to WaaFL, Spice and Vanilla. But that will be it's own post. ;) Here's what Katherine has to say about WaaFL: Thank you so much for having me on your blog today to talk about my latest release, Woman as a Foreign Language. WaaFL came out last September, and has had some really wonderful reviews since then. This is a tale about two almost complementary gender-queer characters, Julia/n a very talented MtoF crossdresser, and Nina, a hopeless tomboy of a girl. Nothing wrong with being a tomboy, but for Nina this is not a chance as much as the result of years of bullying. This story came about rather suddenly after I watched “The Danish Girl” last spring. My very first thought was “Damn, Eddie Redmayne is much better at being a woman than I am!” (piece of cake, mind). I was really blown over, and immediately craved to write a character like that, not a transwoman, like Lili Elbe, but a truly gender-fluid person, able to be (relatively) comfortable both as a man and a woman, a Two-spirit perhaps, as this is sometimes, rather beautifully, called. That sentence (Eddie Redmayne is much better at being a woman than I am!) pretty much became the premise of the story, a premise that is really entirely autobiographic, because Nina, the tomboy, is really me. Ever since the Caitlyn Jenner hullabaloo the whole topic of transgender people has become a lot more openly talked about, but it’s amazing how much of the discussion pivots on the most extreme and let’s say medical aspects of it, acute dysphoria, sex reassignment procedures, transgender children and their treatment. I wanted to write a story about the many in-betweens that are to be found on the gender spectrum, those for whom gender-queerness is not a medical emergency but simply a state of being. I hope you feel like finding out more about Nina and Julian! It took quite a bit of research to put this story together, and also I was so attached to these characters, that once I was done with the book I realized I still had a lot to say on the topic. All this spill-over turned into Spice and Vanilla, WaaFL darker, naughtier, whip-and-leather sister, which will be published in May. It’s not WaaFL’s sequel, but it treats similar themes, and Julia/n and Nina both make a brief appearance. Stay tuned! Woman as a Foreign Language was Runner-Up for Best Contemporary story in the Evernight Readers’ Choice Awards, and is available on the Evernight site at a 25% discount with the coupon code WINNER2017 Goodness, but that is a gorgeous cover! Here's the blurb:
What do you do when the woman you want to be … is a man? Nina’s abusive childhood left her feeling so vulnerable when wearing anything flimsier than combat boots that she has spent her whole adult life dressed like a gang boy. But when she meets the tall, glamourous, charismatic Julia (actually her cross-dressing neighbor, Julian, going out en femme), Nina is seized by an overwhelming and terrifying urge to finally express her own femininity. Julia/n has not only a slightly split personality but also a thoroughly broken heart. What s/he wants most is a partner who will love both Julia and Julian. While Nina learns from Julia how to be a woman, Julian discovers that they might well be made for each other, but it will take a struggle against prejudice and a whole conservative mind-set before they can follow their hearts, and express their true, unique, and beautiful selves. The writing is beautiful, the language perfectly suited to each point-of-view, and the characters wonderfully damaged. At its core, Wyvern twists the usual gender/genre expectations…” “…Nina is a young woman whose abusive childhood has made her afraid to fully own her femininity. And Julia and Julian are two souls in one body—or perhaps they are the same soul, just reflected in different ways. At first Nina’s attraction to Julia—Julian dressed en femme—seems like a adolescent girl-crush. But then it deepens into love, with some of the most gracefully written and heartfelt erotic scenes I have ever read.” See what Katherine is up to on: Katherine’s Blog: https://katherinewyvern.blogspot.fr/ Katherine’s Website: http://meetingivory.wixsite.com/katherinewyvern Katherine’s Author Page: https://www.facebook.com/Katherine-Wyvern-Author-122569301260917/ Or follow her on Instagram @katherinewyvern You can also find an exclusive excerpt on my website, here: http://meetingivory.wixsite.com/katherinewyvern/copy-of-woman-as-a-foreign-language Hi everyone!
I can't say enough how thrilled I am with the release of Alpha's Beta. I was SO scared of my first m/m book, and the reception has been amazing. **big smooches to everyone who bough it** I'm just over 10k into writing book 3 of the North Woods Wolves series, and it's gotten to the point where I've lost all control of the story. This is a good thing, the characters have taken over and the inmates are running the asylum so to speak. I'm *hoping* to keep it under 16k so that it can be another Romance on the Go book like the first two, but at the current rate I'm going, I don't know as that will happen. This one is m/f again, and tells Taylor's story. Taylor, for those of you who didn't read Alpha's Beta, is the woman who was Jordan's on-again-off-again friend with benefits until fate smacked him upside the head with Erik. I was nearing the end of writing book 2 when I realized that she pretty much got shafted, and needed a happy ending too. Enter Davien - a foreign alpha who has been roaming the country in wolf form for two years, and brings his own set of baggage to the North Woods. And, of course, Cassie and the others just had to poke their heads in with their two cents' worth here and there. Which is fine with me, because I just love writing Cassie. :) teaser: Taylor was alone behind the counter; the snow had kept nearly everyone inside. There hadn’t been any new customers for over two hours so she’d sent her helper home. She swallowed her unease and prepared a cup of tea for Cassie. “Anything for you?” “Water.” His voice was deep, rough and gravely, presumably from disuse. She set Cassie’s cup down with a smile. “Feeling better?” “Yes, thank you.” Cassie’s eyes flicked to the one other customer in the cafe, a young girl glued to her laptop, earbuds in. “Kieran’s on his way,” she whispered. “That’s not necessary,” the man grumbled. “Not going to cause trouble.” Taylor headed for his table. “Anything besides water?” Their eyes met, and Taylor sucked in a breath. His fingers brushed hers as he reached for the glass. They were rough and calloused, though gentle. He studied her for a moment, and then grinned, the action transforming his features. His eyes warmed as little lines creased the corners. “That’s all I can afford right now, until you give me back my fanny pack.” She laughed, the tense set of her shoulders slowly easing. “In that case, I’ll start a tab for you. What would you like?” “Sausage and eggs?” he asked hopefully, one eyebrow raised. Taylor stared at him for a moment as his thumb stroked the back of her hand. She cleared her throat. “Sure,” she said, hating how breathy her voice was. “Oh fucking hell,” Cassie burst out, and his smile deepened as she continued. “Taylor, you’ll be completely safe. Thanks for the tea. I’ll call you later. Davien, you can find your way back, right?” “Sure,” he said, not taking his eyes off Taylor. Cassie sighed as she stood. “Earth to Taylor!” Taylor tore her gaze from the man—had Cassie called him Davien? Was that his name?—to look at her. “You have my number. If you need anything, any help at all, you call me or Jordan. Do you understand?” Taylor noted the gold rings around Cassie’s irises and belatedly realized that she wasn’t being as cautious as she should be with this man. Reluctantly, she pulled her hand out from under his and stepped back. “Yes, thank you.” Cassie looked between the two of them and shook her head. “I should have known,” she mumbled as she left. “What’s she talking about?” Taylor asked. His eyes roamed her face, pausing on her hair. “No worries, Red. I’ll explain it all in due time.” She narrowed her eyes at him. “I’m not stupid. Don’t give me the whole ‘it’s a wolf thing’ spiel. It’s insulting,” she snapped, ignoring the quip about her chosen hair color. She’d been gifted with flat, boring brown hair at birth, so now she dyed it whatever color she felt like, and changed it often. Currently it was a bright, fire-engine red. Not necessarily the smartest plan, because it tended to make her stick out and be memorable, but she felt reasonably safe now after so much time had passed since fleeing her former life. “Oh but it is a wolf thing, little Red. One which you’ll understand soon enough.” His voice dropped and he leaned forward, arms folded on the table. “But not yet. And certainly not while she’s still here.” He tipped his head toward the girl still engrossed in her laptop. “Whatever.” With a huff, Taylor spun and went to make his damned sausage and eggs. Oh, and did I mention that Davien is based on Jason Momoa from Frontier? ;) |
